Reports that a teacher was the victim of an attempted rape on Saturday, November 2, 2019, while driving in Belaire, Castries, are untrue, police have informed the STAR. Contrary to what has been widely reported in local online news outlets and radio talk shows, the teacher, was actually a victim of an attempted robbery. She reported as much to officers at the Marigot police station at about 6:00pm on the day the incident occurred.
